We will only process your information where we have a legal basis to do so. The legal basis will depend on the reasons we have collected and use your information.
If you are providing us with another person’s information you should first ask them to read this Privacy Policy and our Booking Conditions. WHEN AND HOW WE DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION
It may be necessary to pass certain details about you and your party to third parties relating directly and specifically to your holiday, such as the ski pass company in Val d’Isère (Société des Téléphériques de Val d’Isère), etc., and when making a booking with YSE you are agreeing that we may do this. Please consult these companies’ privacy policies for further information. If you book through an agent, information may be held by the agent and you should refer to their own privacy policy.
When you click on links on our website, they may direct you away from our website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.
This website allows you to share pages with social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook and information may be presented on your social media profile to be shared with others in your network. Please refer to the privacy policy of these third-party social media providers to find out more about these practices.
We may also disclose your information as necessary or appropriate when we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest to do so: to investigate, prevent, or respond to suspected illegal or fraudulent activity or to protect the safety, privacy, rights, or property of us, our users, or others; if requested or required by government authorities such as law enforcement authorities, courts, regulators, or otherwise to comply with the law (which may include laws outside your country of residence); in order to exercise or protect legal rights or defend against legal claims.
We have no plans whatsoever to sell YSE, but if YSE is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that YSE may continue to sell products to you.
RETENTION AND SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We keep booking information for our own marketing records, our annual audit and your booking history. Information you give us about yourself or members of your party is held securely, and we will never sell any data about you to anyone else.
We will not retain your information for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it is being used. To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which we process it and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means. We must also consider periods for which we might need to retain information in order to meet our legal obligations or to deal with complaints, queries and to protect our legal rights in the event of a claim being made. When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or destroy it.
To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online and offline.
