One of the oldest families in Val d’Isère, the Mattis clan has run hotels and businesses including the Mattis ski hire shop since Val d’Isère started as a ski resort. Val Gliss, or Stages Mattis as they are now known, has operated for 35 years, and concentrates on the spirit of competition and fun in skiing, always respecting the mountain. Children’s Courses
Snowflake to Bronze, Silver, Gold and Competition, and snowboard, taught by former racers.

Courses are run during French and British school holidays.

Five mornings, Mon-Sat 9.00-12.30, €265

Adults' Courses (maximum 6 skiers)

Beginners, progression on piste, off piste, and slalom courses.
Prices include a 6-day lift pass and ski hire (and security equipment for the off piste course).
